Welcome Hypnobub – Skye – Induced birth with Syntocinon

I just received this beautiful message from one of my dads.

This mum developed high blood pressure in late pregnancy. After a number of days using natural induction methods, they made an informed decision to be induced using a balloon catheter and later syntocinon.

Induction is tough. It can go from 0-100 very quickly and there is very rarely any relief with contractions coming on top of each other.

This is a beautiful example of how you can still use your Hypnobirth techniques no matter what turn your birth takes. Although, she did not want to be induced she was still able to achieve the positive birth she had hoped for.

“She took herself into the bathroom in complete darkness for most of her labour. Just breathing and talking to baby Skye. She had a completely natural birth with no pain relief at all. I think the hypnosis work we did helped immensely with her belief in herself, control of her fear, and confidence that this was natural and not alarming, also connection with Skye – Skye did everything right too.”
